PVP Raises $20,000 for Nexus & Youth Mental Health

Wednesday, July 20, 2016

Now in its second year, the PosVibes Project (PVP) is an independent, non-profit, formal event that aims to proactively tackle the stigma surrounding mental health. As they note on their website, our society often acknowledges the importance of overall physical health while taking for granted the importance of our mental health and emotional well-being.

Started by a group of students in 2015, PVP is a dynamic community event for people of all ages aimed at sharing knowledge and wisdom and spreading hope to those facing mental health challenges. The event also supports youth mental health specifically through Nexus.

This year PVP raised an incredible $20,000 and tonnes of awareness for Nexus and youth mental health. The evening included a delicious buffet, a special youth guest speaker who shared their experience living with mental health challenges, and electrifying entertainment provided by a local band that had all 200+ guests grooving on the dance floor.

Nexus extends its heartfelt thanks to the PVP organizers for their ongoing support and commitment to youth mental health. Thank you for generating a ripple-effect of positivity in our community. We can't wait for next year's event!
