Finding Kind Screening

Tuesday, October 6, 2015

Could understand what I was going through and made me feel good and that it was okay to have [those feelings]. Made me laugh and understand my feelings in a different way.

On Monday, October 19th Nexus Youth Services welcomes Kind Campaign Ambassador and Mississauga high school student Simrat Heer to present Finding Kind, a documentary that tackles the impact of girl-on-girl bullying. In the documentary, Kind Campaign founders Lauren Paul and Molly Thompson travel across America, interviewing hundreds of girls and women about the “mean girl” phenomenon and, in the process, creating a national school program for girls that promotes kindness over hate and bullying. After screening Finding Kind, Simrat will share her personal journey overcoming bullying and how she came to be a Kind Campaign Ambassador.

What: Finding Kind documentary screening and Kind Campaign Ambassador presentation
When: Monday, October 19, 2015 – 6:00pm – 8:30pm
