Feel comfortable with my counsellor. Feel free of judgment ~ very professional and has good suggestions.
For the third consecutive year, a Nexus Youth Services (Nexus) staff member is a recipient of the Bhayana Family Foundation’s Dedication Award!

The 2017 Dedication Award, which recognizes extraordinary contributions made by frontline staff working at United Way of Peel Region funded agencies, has been awarded to Nexus Youth Engagement Worker (YEW) Jesse Murray. The award is made possible thanks to generous support from Madan and Raksha M. Bhayana and the Bhayana Family Foundation.

Jesse has been one of the Nexus Youth Centre’s YEWs for almost two years. A calm and welcoming presence in the Youth Centre, Jesse delivers creative and capacity-building programming and tirelessly seeks opportunities to benefit youth. "Jesse embodies the concepts of youth engagement and positive youth development," says Nexus supervisor John Choi. "He has a knack for building strong working relationships with other members of the community, and he's always up for a thought-provoking conversation."

Jesse was nominated for the Dedication Award by his YEW colleague, and past Dedication Award recipient, Melissa Louka. "Jesse not only serves as a model, but as an inspiration to youth and colleagues alike," says Melissa. "He's changing the world, one interaction at a time."

Congratulations, Jesse! Thank you for all that you do for Nexus and youth in our community!
