Media Release: Community Foundation of Mississauga invests in youth through Nexus Youth Services

MISSISSAUGA – A $20,000 donation from the Community Foundation of Mississauga will support essential services at the Nexus Youth Services (Nexus) Youth Centre. Located on the second floor of the Mississauga Central Library, the Nexus Youth Centre is a fully accessible drop-in centre that provides mental health counselling services, daily activities and group programs to youth with no referral required. Since 2013, the Community Foundation of Mississauga has contributed more than $77,000 in support of Nexus’s programs and services.

Nexus gratefully acknowledges the financial support provided by The Pendle Fund at the Community Foundation of Mississauga, a registered charitable public foundation serving the people of Mississauga. The Foundation has been matching acts of caring with community needs since 2001. Working with donors and the broader community, the Community Foundation of Mississauga invests in building strong and resilient places to live, work and play. By providing effective and efficient endowment options for donors, the Community Foundation of Mississauga creates a lasting legacy of community vitality.

Nexus creates opportunities for youth by providing high quality services that are inclusive and responsive to the needs and voices of youth.
