Nexus Youth Services Celebrates Thanksgiving!

Monday, October 14, 2013

Nexus is warm and welcoming, the second you come into the door everyone is so nice. There is always free food and everyone is talking. It just seems like a good place to be.
On Wednesday, October 9th Nexus Youth Services hosted a Thanksgiving Celebration in the Glass Pavilion of the Mississauga Central Library. This event was an opportunity to get together, eat some great food, and express our gratitude for  all the people who help make Nexus great. Our youth did a fantastic job decorating the space in festive colours and symbols, including bright orange pumpkins and colourful autumn leaves, not to mention a wicked cool cartoon turkey poster. We also had board games galore and our resident DJ, C.J., played fresh beats on an iPad for everyone to enjoy.

Nexus is very grateful for the generous donations we received from The Real Canadian Superstore on Mavis and Dundas in Mississauga and Metro Grocery Store on Mississauga Valley Blvd. With over 40 youth guests in attendance, there was plenty of food to go ‘round and everything tasted delicious! Thank you to everyone who helped make our Thanksgiving Celebration a fun night for everyone and Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Nexus!
