It’s like a family. Everyone feels like they know each other and they except everyone. Everyone is so nice and warm to you.
Thank You for a Great Jolly Gingerbread Night!
Monday, December 16, 2013The Nexus Youth Centre had a big holiday celebration this past Friday (December 13, 2013) inside the Glass Pavilion at the Mississauga Central Library. The event was called Jolly Gingerbread Night and there were over 70 youth in attendance
With the holidays just around the corner there were many activities at the event to help everyone get into the holiday spirit. There was a gingerbread house making contest with prizes for the top winners, as well as many sweets with free coffee, and there was an open mic where youth performed spoken word poetry and sang karaoke.
Nexus is very thankful for all of the support from local companies including free coffee from Starbucks (Square One). We are also grateful for the prizes that were donated from Big it Up and Empire Theatres, both located at Square One.
Special thanks to all the members from NYC's Reach Out group who helped to organize, promote and host this awesome event.
On behalf of Nexus Youth Services, Happy Holidays to all!
