NYS Counsellor Wins Dedication Award

Nexus Youth Services (NYS) congratulates Bozena Tutaj, who was awarded Peel Region’s very first Dedication Award from the Bhayana Family Foundation. This award recognizes front-line staff working within United Way funded agencies who are dedicated to the mission and values of their agency and demonstrate unwavering loyalty and commitment to its success.
In the words of her colleague Nancy Hood, who nominated Bozena on behalf of the NYS team, Bozena is “brilliant, yet humble; empathetic, yet firm; inquisitive and knowledgeable; and a tenacious advocate. Despite her wealth of knowledge and years of experience, she continues to strive to improve her work. She is always open to feedback and consistently seeks opportunities to add to her repertoire of skills. She is selfless in her giving, never expecting anything in return. Without realizing it she has served as a mentor for many clinicians who have been fortunate enough to work alongside her. Bozena’s appreciation for others is only rivalled by the respect that all of us on the Nexus team have for her”.
