I liked that the counsellor was a cool person to talk to and that I can be open and honest with what needed to be said.
There is no doubt #summer16 in #the6ix has been record-breaking hot. Heat warnings aside, Nexus Youth Services and Marble Slab Mississauga are once again teaming up to raise awareness about youth mental health, all while indulging in the most mouth-watering sweets and a variety of flavourful ice creams. Stop by Marble Slab Mississauga on Sunday, August 21st and 20% of the proceeds from your purchase will be donated to Nexus, a youth-serving mental health agency that helps more than 2,000 youth each year.
From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nexus youth volunteers will be on-site at Marble Slab’s Heartland location (5655 Latimer Drive) to raise awareness about Nexus’ services for youth in Peel Region. 1 in 5 young people will face a serious emotional and/or mental health challenge, and it is thanks to the support and dedication from generous local businesses like Marble Slab Creamery that Nexus is able to respond to the mental health needs of Peel’s growing youth community.
On August 21st beat the heat with a tasty treat, all while supporting youth mental health in our community!
